Sara Hall, licensed assistant to Terry Cobb of Kirk & Cobb, is going all in – literally. Hall will be swimming in the Sunflower States Games on Sunday, July 12. “I love swimming!” said Hall. “I started swimming competitively at age eight and continued until I was 18. Now I just swim for fun and exercise.”
Hall’s passion for swimming is quite visible. She is the assistant coach of the Briarwood summer swim team. “Once the season started, I got really excited about swimming in a meet again,” said Hall. “I’ve been swimming at the YWCA for a while just for exercise, but recently I’ve been going a lot more trying to get ready for the games.”
Hall’s first meet starts at 9:15 AM at the Capitol Federal Natatorium at Hummer Sports Park. She will be swimming in five different events plus a relay: 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 IM, 200 IM, and 100 butterfly.
“This will be my first real meet in 16 years,” said Hall. “I’m a little nervous!”
According to the event’s web site, admission is free at all competition sites with the exception of baseball and youth basketball. You can find more information about attending and competing in the games at www.sunflowergames.com.
